Singular Concepts newest upcoming restaurant and bar flagship Yurakucho spans over 2300 sq.ft bringing to Hong Kong the timeless energy of the Izakaya watering-hole culture to the table. Sake, a live robataki open-kitchen grill, Japanese highballs, a cool atmosphere; slick, sophisticated clientele and an awesome hip-hop underground soundtrack is what you can expect from Yurakucho’s opening in February 2023.

As the name suggests Yurakucho brings the flavours of Tokyo’s most interesting districts built up under the brick arches beneath the elevated train tracks known in Japanese as Gado-shita “below the girders”. These favored hidden watering holes of a mysterious world available to those “in the know” occupy virtually all of the free space under nearly 700 meters of track on both sides of Yurakucho Station.

In Japan, when 5pm rolls around, you don’t go to the pub. You head for an izakaya. Our dining menu are a far cry from clean-lined platters of raw fish; at our izakaya, you use the adjectives ‘fried’, ‘crispy’ and ‘grilled’ that’s what Yurakucho is all about.
